Peaceful Afternoons with the Jabulani Elephant Herd 🐘

Carer Godknows watches from the edge of the waterhole as the herd arrives for a drink. While the elephants are not quite in the mood for a swim, Fishan and Jabulani stand side by side at the water’s edge. Though Jabulani has taken Fishan’s place in the herd’s hierarchy due to his previously fractured leg, Jabulani still shows plenty of respect for his elder, and Fishan does not let his injury hold him back. Instead of swimming, the elephants choose to cool down in the shade. Zindoga and Timisa find a small patch of shade under a tree to share as they graze in the soft light of the afternoon. #everyelephantneedsaherd
