Ghostbusters Stop Motion Tribute    • The Real Ghostbusters Stop Motion Int...   It’s that time for all things spooky, all things from the afterlife. And we ain’t afraid of no ghosts! Oklahoma City animation team studio, Reckless Abandonment Pictures, got their start producing fan-made stop motion intro videos; notably X-Men and Ninja Turtles. Since then, DreamWorks, LEGO, Mattel and other major brands started reaching out to them for commercial work. As a labor of love the team is back at it again with a stop motion tribute to the nostalgic 1986 ‘The Real Ghostbusters’ cartoon introduction! With over two months of work and 2,000 individual pictures, Kyle Roberts and crew brought this fan made tribute to life. Artist Nathan Poppe, who crafted over 30 hand-drawn doodle images to establish a bright and vibrant backdrop to complement Roberts' use of action figures. The team used a massive mixture of 1980s nostalgic Kenner figures The original RGB theme song was covered by composer Nicholas Poss, vocals by Sean C. Johnson. The whole idea of this labor of love us to feel like all of this is kind of made by kids in their imagination! As kids of the 80s, now with kiddos of our own… it was only fitting that we recorded several of our own kiddos voices shouting “Ghostbusters” in our tribute!
