Thanks for your support and love. #Lockdown 2k20 Every song has its own story.This is a song everybody can relate to. It's everyone story. was written on the 5th day of the Indian #Lockdown. An acoustic home version was shared on my fb page, the warm response, urshered and motivated me to do a STUDIO VERSION. I wanted it badly, but how ??? Everyone was LOCKDOWN, Logistics, mobility, resource mgmt., was unthinkable then and even so today. Uncertainty is the only Certainity. Never has the World ever been exposed to such Brutal, Harsh, psychologically challenging situation. Actually no one knows how to handle, even Govts. Dont. Ironically, " there is no Vaccine for a virus,which be eradicated by common soap " come to think of it. Is the World every going to be the same again ? What happens to the social distancing protocol ? Things have changed drastically and I believe our world society is never going to be same again. Everyone is trying to react in their own way they think is best. Me too, in these Depressing times being #lockdown at Kalimpong away from the love of my family, its difficult to be Optimistic. Thinking about the present and what the uncertain future hold for all. Apart from my quite time Praying and Worshiping God. I have been playing a lot of music to pass my time. one day just Noodling around with my Bandmates of Cornerstone Revival on our WhatsApp group.I came up with the tune, guitar Riff and lyrics simultaneously with a slight jist from our guitarist. I composed the song, the very Raw acoustic version is there on my Youtube channel "Cornerstone Revival" But then came the main issue of recording, Do I wait for the #Lockdown to get over ? Or should I proceed ? I called up Dan bhai of Judah Plows Studio Siliguri, knowing he is so supportive. Tthis was a time bound situational song, with extra baggage of so many constraints, after he heard the Pilot, he said ok. Just what I needed to hear. We started sharing audio files. I had a clear concept of what it should sound like. He knew what I wanted, I know his expertise to deliver the same. To my luck Judah Plows musicians stepped in to take the song forward Guided by my dear brother, Arranger, Mr. Talented Daniel Gadal frontman of Judah Plows. Guitarist Abel Sherpa, from Namchi one of the finest Rock Guitarist in the country, belted out his rendition of the #Lockdown Rocking Riff. It's COOL, along with Sumi Gadal who was lockdown at Kathmandu with his awesome Drums fill, then came Saurav Sundas from Kurseong added his Booming Bass lines, followed by the Task master Robin Chettri on Key, mixing, mastering lockdown at Kathmandu. Carefully Monitored by "The Professor " of this #Lockdown Heist' Daniel himself. The music was ready, I heard it. I was excited, but how am I going to record my Vocals. I was stranded at Kalimpong, #Isolated without even a computer to help me. leave alone some basic recording softwares. all I had was an average Oppo F7 phone, I have been using, my lifeline. I knocked on a few friendly doors, I must mention teen drummer Prateek Pradhan did try to help me but without much adue, with all possibilities closed. no hope and the music track of #Lockdown blaring at home while I was upto my daily kitchen chores, pushing me to finish what I started. I had to do it. I had to somehow Record #Lockdown 2k20. Being persistant helps, so I decided to record my Vocals on my Oppo Phone to complete the song. I called Dan, he was amused but positive maybe at my sheer Guts, the music had developed so well I decided to go ahead. I sang the entire song in my bedroom 3 Single takes because there is no way to Pause Self Recording, ( just like Live singing ) and sent the files to JP studio, I waited in anticipation. It finally came through. Please kindly bear with me and understand the voice quality is not so good, but for this situation, its the best I could do. We were unable to use backing vocals to assist the mains. All within the given limitation to sing into a mobile phone for a studio song, was by itself an act of musical audacity or Bravery. After a few days, the finished version came from Judah Plows Studio. I liked it very much. So here we go again. Presenting #Lockdown2k20. Hope you like it enough to Share it.
