Infinitesimal (Hertzian) Dipole Derivation

This is an analysis of the infinitesimal dipole following the approach taken by Doug Tougaw's electromagnetism class. The starting point is J which leads to the vector potential A. Once you know A, you can find H which is the magnetic field. H then gives you E, the electric field. If you have expressions for E and H, you can get the Poynting vector S, which is the power packed by the electromagnetic wave emanating from the infinitesimal (or Hertzian) dipole. Finally, if you look at S over a closed sphere and add it up, you get the radiated power P. Lots of good stuff in this derivation. Hope you enjoy it!
