Sharlotka Apple Cake Ingredients: 1 cup of all purpose flour 1 cup of sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp of baking powder 1 tsp of vanilla extract 3 large Granny Smith apples 1 tsp of dried lemon peel/ or a zest of one lemon Optional: 10 almonds for decoration Method: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Separate egg whites and egg yolks. With electric mixed mix egg whites with sugar. Add egg yolks one by one, mix well. Add sifted flour mixed with baking powder to egg mixture. Add flavorings: vanilla extract and dried lemon peel or zest of 1 lemon. Core and peel 3 apples. Cut them into a batter and mix well. Make sure all apples covered. Line and butter 10 inch spring form. Pour your batter and apple mixture into a form. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 min or until inserted tooth peak comes out clean.
