President Chakwera At The 2025 Eid Ul-Fitr Prayers

MUSLIMS SALUTE CHAKWERA FOR DECISIVE LEADERSHIP Muslims in the country have hailed President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera for demonstrating visionary and decisive leadership. Speaking on Monday at Mchoka Primary School Ground, in Salima during celebrations of the 2025 Eid Al-Fitr prayers which markiled the end of Ramadan, Mufti Shamuuna Sosola from Qadria Muslim Association of Malawi (QMAM) praised President Chakwera for demonstrating servant leadership and non-selective approach as he strives to build a new Malawi. Sosola also commended the Chakwera led administration for facilitating peace and unity among people of different cultural and religious affiliations. "You are a visionary leader and all muslims are happy with your leadership," he said. In his speech, President Chakwera thanked Malawians for co-existing peacefully despite attempts by some quarters to devide them. "Some individuals have tried to use religion, politics, and hunger to devide the people of Malawi. Some have even tried to inflate prices of basic commodities to make people mad at my administration, but I thank you for living peacelly despite those attempts," he said. Coordinator of the event Uladi Mussa praised President Chakwera for his attendance, and also for donating K150 million towards the function. "We also thank you for giving us bags of flour that will be distributed to the people soon after this function," he said.
