The term ‘sketching’ is taken from the illustration world as a means of conducting the initial strokes, outlines, or shapes to assist in creating a finished piece. ‘Sketching’ for movement purposes is the means of conducting the initial moves (etchings) of a sequence that welcomes repetition and alterations as the session of discovery continues.
