Argentine tango has no basic step. It is a totally improvisational dance, Argentine tango is often danced in close embrace, or salon style. It brought together working class European immigrants, indigenous Argentinians and former slaves. As a result, tango has shaped Argentinian culture and society. Argentina is one of the most bio-diverse countries in the world hosting one of the greatest ecosystem varieties in the world: 15 continental zones, 2 marine zones, and the Antarctic region are all represented in its territory. There are more than 300 glaciers in Argentina. The most known is The Perito Moreno Glacier, located in the Los Glaciares National Park in southwest Santa Cruz Province, often called the blue glacier because the ice within is very dense and all the air has been squeezed out. Argentina is rich in animal variety. The coast of Patagonia is home to elephant seals, fur seals, penguins, and sea lions. The waters off the Atlantic are home to sharks, orcas, dolphins, and salmon. In the north, there are many large cat species such as the cougar, jaguar, and the ocelot. The most beautiful of all is the Andean flamingo - one of the rarest of its type in the world. Most popular Argentinians are probably Eva Perón better known as Evita, First Lady of Argentina, in the 1940’s and 50’s .
