Raw Footage showing how Tinycards works (iOS app version)

This is a very basic video that I am posting now so that the valuable information in its footage will be available sooner than later. Hopefully later when I have time to edit the video, I can make a “See the Differences” video in which I point out every significant difference between Tinycards and Anki (which still will not feature Anki footage because I cannot use the program and plenty of others know how it works and have shown it anyway). It turns out someone made a video showing use of the web version. You can watch it here:    • Duolingo Tinycards - Create and Study Flas...   Don’t believe anyone who tries to tell you that Anki can replace Tinycards. Here I have a video in which you can see for yourself some examples of how drastically different Tinycards is from Anki. I forgot to show a few things in the Tinycards iOS version here, however, (fortunately at least one of them wasn’t too significant, though) and besides that, I was not prepared to show archived versions of the web edition at the moment, so I will show those in another video. What you can’t see in the video: one of the most important differences: Tinycards’ algorithm’s timing. Anki would set the first review session a day later, then increase the spacing to three days, etc. Tinycards sets the first review session seven hours and twenty minutes later, then the next one would be 23 hours and 50 minutes later, then three days minus three hours and ten minutes if the terms were studied exactly when available. If the user only studied the terms once a day, they would study the first three days in a row versus only the first two on Anki. Tinycards and Anki have their algorithms optimized differently: Tinycards’ algorithm is optimized so that users will study just as memories weaken so users will develop strong, lightning-fast recall of their terms. Anki’s algorithm is optimized so that users will not be able to study until their memories are almost gone, so users will develop shaky recall of their terms that will make them slow and hesitant on tests or in conversations in the language they’re learning. Clearly both of these algorithms work, but they have different results, one of which is much better than the rest. Which one is the only one you will find any existing spaced-repetition system using, however? Anki’s. It’s ridiculous. The world has had better and needs it again. If you make a program involving a spaced-repetition algorithm, use Tinycards’, not Anki’s. For more information about the superior spaced-repetition algorithm, read almost any of the articles linked from here: https://studylib.net/profile/240198 If you made a digital flashcard program that is like Tinycards (including its superior spaced-repetition algorithm and automatic term grouping for every 5 terms), please discuss and link to it in the comment section. Please do not spam this video‘s comment section with information about digital flashcard programs that are too similar to Anki, use Anki’s algorithm, force users to study all the terms in one huge chunk, etc. The world needs a Tinycards successor, not another of the many slightly-better Ankis (like SmartCards+, Lockcard, etc.).
