From Gardens to Tea Country | Discovering Sri Lanka's Little England

In this episode of our Sri Lanka travel series, we continue our journey through nature, wildlife, and colonial charm. We start at the breathtaking Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, home to over 4000 plant species and majestic trees like the Javan fig and cannonball tree. Next, we visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where we witness elephants bathing in the river. Our adventure concludes in the cool highlands of Nuwara Eliya, lovingly known as "Little England" for its colonial architecture, crisp air and sprawling tea estates. We explore a working Ceylon tea plantation and factory and end with a walk through the countryside town. From lush gardens to misty hills, this is Sri Lanka at its most enchanting.
