Welcome to Norway. Our restaurant for today is Maaemo. It's located in Oslo and the head chef is Esben Holmboe Bang. The restaurant works in the New Nordic Cuisine genre, and focuses on local food and only uses organic, biodynamic, or wild produce.. The restaurant was one of the first Nordic restaurant to be awarded 2 stars in the Michelin guide in February 2016. In December 2019, the restaurant closed to move to another location. This resulted in the loss of all of its three Michelin stars in February 2020.
