Origami Revealed Flower / Pop Up Star

In this tutorial, I show how to make an origami revealed flower, also known as origami pop up star or transforming spike ball (by Valentina Gonchar). This origami model is very interactive: once created, you can open and close it as many times as you want. This transformable origami model can be used as an anti-stress or fidget toy, as well as an object to develop fine motor skills and imagination. This is a modular origami. The project is time consuming (might take many hours or even days) but should be amazing! To realize this project, you will need all together 90 modules: 60 for the flowers (the model is assembled out of 12 flowers: 5 modules each) and 30 for the leaves of the flowers. I used the paper of two colors for this project, but you can use as many colors as you want. The model is made by rows of flowers connected by leaves. The first row is presented by one flower. The second and the third rows are made out of 5 flowers. The fourth row is presented by one flower. All the creases have to be well done. You will need glue to connect all the modules of the model (I don't show the process of the glue application in the video). Liquid glue might be difficult to use for this model. You can adjust the video speed in the settings or pause the video if I am too slow or fast.
