Mount Whitney: The gem of the Sierra, the tallest peak in the continental US, and the biggest mountain we’ve ever climbed! Almost a century ago, Mount Whitney was climbed with ropes for the first time and since then, climbers from all over the world have come to put their skills to the test. So naturally, we wanted to climb it too! After a heinous hike on the North Fork Lone Pine Creek trail and experiencing mild altitude sickness, we set up base camp directly below Mount Whitney as we built up the courage to get to the top. It was no easy feat but it definitely checked the box as a High Sierra alpine classic!
