𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗘𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀 Based in Mettupalayam, Eden Nursery has served the agriculture sector for 26+ years under the leadership of Mr. S. Rajarathinam, M.F.Tech. EdenNursery Gardens Known for grafted brinjal, grafted lime, grafted mahavilvam seedlings and pioneering India’s first leaf culture plant technique, the nursery supplies high-quality planting materials to farmers and agri-industries across the region. Signed agreement with IISR Calicut for producing and supplying Grafted Black Pepper (Variety Subhakara) and Budded Nutmeg (Variety Keralasree) to the farmers. Recognized by the Ministry of MSME (6.25 lakhs as Grant, Leafculture) and Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, (12 lakhs as Grant, Standardisation of clonal propagation of technology for hard-to-root species rich in organic compounds) GOI, supported by TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore. Recognized among the Top 100 Agripreneur Startups in India under the Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centres (AC&ABC) Scheme by the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad, in 2017. A patent has been granted for the invention entitled An improved cost effective Poly Mist Chamber, the nursery employs 25 staff members, they expertly manage complex processes with passion and care. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 In mid-2024, Mr. Rajarathinam reached out to streamline daily operations. The manual paperwork used for quotations, billing, stock, seedling stages, orders, and deliveries had become overwhelming and prone to error. During a visit in September, I observed their workflows. It was clear that digitization was the way forward. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 As part of my role in Product Management at Zoho Creator, myself Dr.P.Nandhakumar proposed building a custom nursery management app using our low-code platform. ✅ Signed up for a Zoho Creator trial ✅ Built a functional app ✅ Enabled access via web, mobile, and tablet ✅ Trained the team using sample data Despite having no tech background, the staff quickly adapted. Mr. Rajarathinam tested it for 10 days and was impressed. He then requested: 🟢 Delivery tracking & WhatsApp updates for long-cycle orders (e.g., grafted brinjal taking up to 90 days) Using Zoho Flow, WhatsApp Business API, and verified templates, I integrated: 📦 Order confirmations 📦 Scheduled delivery updates 📦 Transport details for customers The success led to a full Zoho Creator subscription. Today, Eden Nursery manages, orders, production and delivery across devices.
