Bella Hadid is the world's most beautiful woman (according to science), and considering she is one of the world's highest paid supermodels, it's fair to say she's quite stunning. However it begs the question, would Bella have achieved such success and fame as a model if she hadn't slowly but surely erased almost all of her natural features? This problematic trend of tweakments and plastic surgery to obliterate any resemblance to the rest of your family and heritage is become alarmingly normalised. In the case of Bella, a nose job at the age of 14, a rumoured eye and brow lift and slimming right down to a size 0 has allowed her to become a pinacle of female beauty. But at what cost? To the outside eye, Bella certainly doesn't seem any happier. There's a moral to this story, and that is; you can alter yourself and mould yourself to fit the beauty standards (if you have the money - which Bella clearly does), and it may bring you success, adoration and external validation - but it wont bring you happiness. Your looks truly are superficial, and superfluous to the more important things in life that DO bring happiness, such as knowing who you are at the core of your being, feeling connected to your family and heritage, and having a loving support system around you.
