His previous companion, Blair, goes to rescue him. However she is a fox, and his doubts of her resurfaces as the nightmarish comparisons he faces in his memories of her amalgamates. Eventually he follows her out of the nightmare and back into the real world. Unable to distinguish between reality and nightmare from being trapped inside Ver’s spell, Ignis has lost his mind. With a knife in his hand, he attempts to defend himself..... Retaliation ties to both Ignis’ efforts to rebel against the spell placed on him by Ver and the hell it has brought into his mind. Meanwhile, it also applies to Blair in that she knows Ignis will hunt her, but she wants to go against the fate where they cannot coexist in peace and tries to save him regardless.
