Meet the 2020 Subaru Forester Sport! Coming out of a 2020 base Forester loaner car into this 2020 Forester Sport was not only a surprise but also a treat to how good of a daily this is. Sure SUV’s and crossovers are taking over but if you want something that does it all, the Forester really is it. Love or hate the orange accents of the “Sport” model, it adds a nice flair. Now to that Sport name: it adds both additional mild off road modes as well as a S# (Sport Sharp) that actually does a decent job of keeping the engine in It’s power band when needed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏁 @Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: What is that engine? A longitudinally mounted 2.5L Flat 4 cylinder paired to Subaru’s unbeatable Symmetrical AWD system. It makes an (adequate) 182HP paired to the surprisingly good Subaru Linertronic CVT that acts as a 7-speed auto most of the time. 🏁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So what do I think: Well the exterior looks are both bland and sculpted but I couldn’t care about that. What I care about is the crazy insulated cabin and …I genuinely mean this.. shockingly good ride. Subaru’s SGP (Subaru Global Platform) really is solid and rigid and provides a confident experience. The steering is very video gamey though direct and accurate. The tech is top notch too, I found to adore the Eyesight system and the camera/radar cruise control, and the interior build quality is perfect, durable and comfortable. Other than a bit of some poor city MPG on my hand from around 20-23MPG, highway MPG is quite good at around 27-30MPG. This one was priced around $31k and honestly, it is a solid buy.
