Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a Go Power 30 amp, pre-wired transfer switch. This transfer switch provides automatic power switching between two separate 120 volt AC input sources. It is pre-wired and circuit protected, and it's designed with special features to really help simplify and speed up the installation. So, I've popped the lid off here, give you a look internally. You can see that's all pre-wired. It includes a cable with a builtin plug to connect to inverter output, and a receptacle that powers your converter, only when shore power is available. Now, I do want to point out that the ports, like the plug right here, they're labeled so this one says, "charger," this one over here says, "inverter," and the one on here says, "shore power." So, they're labeled indicating where they go, what they connect to. An automatic transfer switch is usually installed to allow both your inverter and shore power to alternatively feed the circuits and prevent AC back feed. Now, this automatically connects shore power when available to your breaker panel, and when unplugged from power, it then connects your inverter output to power your circuits. Now, a transfer switch is a great option when it comes to powering the central distribution panel, which is where all the RV circuit breakers are located when power is needed, when you're not plugged in to a camp ground pedestal or shore power. The plastic enclosure is strong and durable, protects everything inside. Now, the box itself, I took measurements, at the widest points, which would actually be here at the top, 'cause you'll notice that the box kind of tapers out. So, edge to edge going this direction is about 8-5/8," edge to edge this direction is about 7-3/8," and then the overall height is about 4-1/8".The mount holes on the unit, like these right here, these are separated on center, going this direction by 8-13/16," and then going this direction, the mount holes are separated on center by 5-7/8". That's gonna do it for today's look at the Go Power 30 amp, pre-wired transfer switch.
