US Joins Russia & North Korea In United Nations Vote On Ukraine

Today the UN adopted a resolution “Advancing a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine” and recognized the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. The United States joined Russia, North Korea, Hungary, Niger, and Mali in voting against it. Today is the third anniversary of Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine and the American government has not released a statement marking the anniversary or condemning the invasion. Macron visited the White House today on what he calls a “last chance mission for Europe”. Macron says he’s there to tell Trump quote “This is not you, it's not your trademark, it's not in your interest. How can you then be credible in the face of China if you're weak in the face of Putin?" Macron also said that the international community is bewildered by this new Putin-Trump alliance, and that he will ask Trump if NATO even still exists. The two of them joined a teleconference with the rest of the G7 to discuss the war. Germany’s new chancellor Friedrich Merz said in his very first statement that Germany and Europe will achieve full strategic independence from the United States. Merz is a Russia hawk who used to believe in Transatlanticism and was considered one of the most pro-American politicians in Germany – now he says that Trump’s United States is like Putin’s Russia. He also says that Europe must find a NATO replacement without the United States, within months. Merz says that Musk and Vance’s interference in the German election to support the AfD is the same as Putin’s interference. #usa #trump #ukraine
