Born in Hala Haweli, Sindh, he belonged to a Sayyid family tracing lineage to Imam Musa al-Kazim . Bhittai's spiritual journey led him to travel extensively across Sindh and neighboring regions, where he engaged with mystics and ascetics. These experiences deeply influenced his poetry, which is characterized by its Sufi themes and lyrical beauty. His work, Shah Jo Risalo, is a compilation of his poems, reflecting on divine love, mysticism, and the human connection to the eternal.
