Best Sequoia Swimholes - Tokopah Falls Trail

Some hiking trails are serene, taking you through unforgettable country. Others take you to sites of natural wonder that will blow your mind. And still others can heighten your senses by taking you into places where you'll observe animals in their natural surroundings. Tokopah Falls Trail in Sequoia NP does all three. A 3.7 mile loop through the redwoods and up into the sheer, granite foothills of the Sierras that culminates in a swim at the base of the stunning 1,200 foot, cascading Tokopah Waterfalls. The cherry on top of this hiking experience was the family of black bears we observed off the trail on the way down.
