Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea Season 2, Episode 18 The Sky's On Fire First air date: January 23, 1966 A meteor storm ignites atmospheric gases in the southern hemisphere. Adm. Nelson believes one of the Seaview's missiles can extinguish it but someone on board is secretly trying to stop him. This episode is adapted from the feature film "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" and makes extensive use of its special effects footage. This beautiful HDTV broadcast recording of a restored and remastered film surpasses the commercially-released DVD set and any other syndicated or network broadcasts of Voyage.
