A subjective and objective comparison of the differences in the dome, bullet and turret cameras. This is not a comparison of the video feed quality or of their inner components. We are reviewing their external features and why one type is best suited for a location over another. We will talk about the pros and cons of each camera type. My preference is the dome cameras as they have a cleaner install and are vandal resistant. I don't like however that they do not install into a junction box. Adjusting the POV of the camera is also a pain once it has been installed. My biggest pet peeve with the bullet cameras is that spiders and bugs hangout and make webs in front of the lens disrupting my view. The turret cameras also have the same issue but their plastic mount discourages me from installing that type outdoors. If you have additional pros and cons, please share them below.
