Tokopah Falls is the tallest waterfall in Sequoia National park at 1200’ The hike is something a young child might complain about. Timing this in the afternoon will make taking a dip on the creek hard to resist during warmer months. Should help motivate your average 8+ year olds. Water is crystal clear. No bikes on this trail, the trail only has approximately 500’ in elevation change but some of it is via granite stairs. There are a few small water crossings but they have bridges with only one exception. That one was very easy to navigate and likely doesn’t flow after snow melt. Marmots are a common sight along the trail and are surprisingly large in person. I arrived at around 9am on a weekday and encountered only two pairs of hikers on my way in. I encountered roughly three dozen souls on the way out at around 1045am. The trail was quite clean.
