Those data breaches exposed the soft, vulnerable underbelly of today's complex IT systems, and unless we think differently, the risks may explode, with the potential to destabilize the global economy. Vipin will reflect on the cyber risks, attacks, and defensive tactics that defined the ten years, and share his top 10 predictions about data security as we move forward into the next decade. Speakers Bio: Vipin Samar Senior Vice President, Database Security, Oracle Vipin Samar is the Senior Vice President of Development for Database Security at Oracle. Over the last 25 years, he has been developing security technologies for operating systems, networks, identity management, and databases. He has led the security development team at Oracle to create the most comprehensive security platform, and innovate at a furious pace. Vipin has a Master's degree in Computer Science from SUNY at Stony Brook, NY, and Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS, Pilani, India. He has 12 patents in the area of security and information retrieval.
