The women's liberation movement gained momentum, with women demanding equal pay, reproductive rights, and an end to discriminatory practices. Women's participation in the workforce has continued to increase, with 72% of women in the UK labour force in 2020. Women have made gains in leadership positions, with 10% of FTSE 100 CEO's being women. However, women still face challenges, including the pay gap, limited representation in STEM fields, and workplace harassment.
