The 2011/12 campaign proved to be Danny Welbeck's breakthrough season for Manchester United. After having a spent a couple of seasons out on loan he came back prepared to challenge established strikers like Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov. Despite scoring only 12 goals in 40 appearences, his performances in general were one of the positives in a disappointing season for the team, and his contribution earned him a starting place for England in the Euros. The Manchester born striker hopefully has a bright future at the club.
