The Polar Bears are BACK at The Calgary Zoo 2023 | Wild Canada

In this video we visit the Calgary Zoo on the re-opening day of the former Canadian Wilds exhibit, now Canadian Wild to visit the Polar Bears. This revitalized land is highlighted by the new polar bear exhibit, which is now the home to two polar bears, Baffin and Siku. We walk around and show you the brand new exhibits, with some old friends such as the muskox, and river otters. Make sure to head on over to the Calgary Zoo to explore this great new exhibit, we look forward to visiting again shortly. #polarbears #calgaryzoo #canada Polar Bears are back at the @thecalgaryzoo for the first time since 1999. 🐻‍❄️ 🐻‍❄️ 𝐁𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐧 and 𝐒𝐢𝐤𝐮 arrived in Calgary in October and have been settling into their new $11.5 Million habitat that features 2 acres of trees, various dens and water features that includes a five meter plunge pool with a water fall. The plunge pool has a hidden cave area where you can get the best view of the Polar Bears swimming. One of the features we are excited to see are the Polar Bear activated shower poles that will be used to cool down during the summer. Baffin and Siku were orphaned when they were young cubs, and were deemed too young to survive in the wild on their own.
