Become a patron and gain access to source code and exclusive live streams: / is-your-coding-82033800 Many programmers adopt an outdated coding style early on in their education and continue to use it throughout their careers without realizing the limitations it poses. In this video, we will break down these limitations and offer a more modern and declarative approach to coding. The video first explores the traditional for loop with an incrementing index and compares it to declarative loops that are more common today. We take a trip back in time to understand the history of the for loop and why it looks the way it does - and to learn that its syntax has little to do with the requirements we implement in modern software! In the rest of the demo, we demonstrate how query specifications can simplify the implementation of complex features. In just a few lines of code, we can add an entire working feature to a Web application, provided that our design is favoring a declarative coding style. If you are struggling to implement a feature in your application, it might be worth considering whether that is the result of your coding style. We hope this video will give you some insight into the importance of modern coding styles, those supported by the latest languages and frameworks. Thank you so much for watching!
