TOEFL iBT Test Structure Overview So, the TOEFL iBT is divided into four main sections... • Reading – This section measures your ability to understand and analyze written English... • Listening – This one tests how well you comprehend spoken English... • Speaking – It’s all about assessing your ability to express ideas clearly... • Writing – And finally, this section evaluates your skills in written communication... The entire test takes around 3 hours... Now, let’s go through each section in detail... Reading Section Alright, first up, the Reading section... This part is all about understanding academic texts... You’ll read passages and answer multiple-choice questions based on them... What to expect: • Number of passages: 3 to 4, each about 700 words long... • Total questions: 30 to 40 (each passage has 10 questions)... • Time limit: Around 35 to 56 minutes...
