NAGAMESE-ENGLISH Khobor: Nagaland host 5th NE Regional Catholic Youth Convention

The Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM) is fully geared to host the 5th Regional Catholic Youth Convention from June 27 to 30 at the newly renovated Mary Help of Christians Cathedral, Kohima. Organized in collaboration with the North Eastern Regional Youth Commission Indian Catholic Youth Movement North-East (NERYC – ICYM N E), the four-day convention is themed “Pilgrims of Hope”, aligning with the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year 2025 and aiming to celebrate faith, culture, and unity among youth. More than 2,000 delegates from all 15 dioceses of Northeast India have registered for the convention. The event will open with a procession, flag hoisting, blessing of diocesan stalls, and Holy Mass, followed by cultural presentations on June 27. The convention will feature sessions on faith, leadership, social media, and youth issues such as substance abuse, addressed by noted speakers. The host venue, Cathedral, recognized as one of India’s 100 official pilgrimage centers, stands as a symbol of faith and cultural heritage.
