A bankruptcy judge approved the bid from the Catholic Diocese of Orange to purchase the Crystal Cathedral for $57.5 million. Long-time members of the congregation begged Judge Robert Kwan to approve a bid from Chapman University which would have allowed the Crystal Cathedral ministry to continue at the iconic glass structure.
