UWorld for STep 2CK: 360 day subscription for $479. Use as well for STEP 2CK studying. Be strategic when you purchase because you want to have it while you're studying for STEP 2 but there are 1 and 2 month packages that allow you to extend. (but I was on a budget so I didn't get it until August lol) Its a must for Surgery and IM though. If you want an example of my note taking skill watch my OB/Gyn video at 3:30. • A week as a third year medical studen... Neurology -PreTest + Uworld STEP 2CK + Pre-Clinicals basic knowledge -Shelf is difficult if you don't study well. Can be one of the easier shelf exams if you use your study time wisely -Shelf difficulty level 7/10 Emergency Medicine -First Aid for Emergency Medicine + Rosh Review -Very difficult shelf exam. If you really want to do well on this shelf you must dedicate a lot of time to studying -Shelf difficulty level 9/10 Internal Medicine -Step Up to Medicine + UWorld STEP 2CK -Try to get through as much UWorld as possible. OnlineMedEd is very helpful for this rotation. Learn your diabetes drugs during this rotation and impress your attendings (most of your patients will have diabetes). Go through sketchy medication if you have time -Shelf difficulty level 8.5/10 Surgery -Dr. Pestana's Surgery Notes + UWorld STEP2CK -Make sure you are studying everyday for this rotation. You'll have less time to procrastinate. If you have time advise using additional resources. OnlineMedEd helpful but not imperative. GI and Cardio are high yield. -Shelf difficulty level 8.5/10 OB/Gyn -BluePrints for Obstetrics and Gynecology + UWorld STEP2CK + ACOG uwise -Learning curve for this rotation was steeper than most. Get through ACOG at least once. -Shelf difficulty level 7/10 Psychiatry -FirstAid for Psychiatry + UWorld STEP2CK -Honestly only need these two resources. Learned the most at the hospital and clinics for this rotation than in any other rotation -Shelf difficulty level 6/10 Pediatrics -Pretest for Pediatrics or BRS Pediatrics + UWorld STEP2CK -Knee and hip pain is high yield as well as rashes -Shelf difficulty 6/10 Family Medicine -Pretest for Family Medicine + AFBM exam prep app + USPSTF preventative medicine guidelines (https://www.uspreventiveservicestaskf...) -Preventative medicine is very high yield. Will become a pro at while in clinic. If you haven't completed Peds, OB/GYN, or Psych prior to this rotation use OnlineMedED for those topics. Extremely helpful to have a base knowledge of all specialties for this shelf. -Shelf difficulty level 9/10 These resources alone won't get you in the 90th + percentile. You have to be dedicated to studying as well as use other minor resources to give you that extra 10-15 question boost.
