Tim Burton Reportedly Says Beetlejuice 2 Is a Go; Has Cast Lined Up

http://screenrant.com/   / screenrant     / screenrant   Beetlejuice came out in 1988 and ever since then, fans have been asking for a sequel-- Now, according to reports, Beetlejuice 2 is closer than ever. “It’s showtime” The rumor site Showbiz Spy revealed a statement attributed to director Tim Burton, saying: ““The film is a go and has been approved by the Warner Bros. team, we have talked with the cast members we wanted for the film and they are all on board, this includes both Winona and Michael. We have the script in hand everything is in place all we need to do now is get ready to start filming.” Now Micheal Keaton recently starred in Birdman and Spotlight, which both won the Academy Awards for Best Picture.. Being on a roll like that, it’s easy to imagine that his schedule will be one of the deciding factors as to when exactly Beetlejuice will start filming -- oh sorry that was the third time I said his name. Other than Ryder and Keaton, it’s unclear if anyone else will be returning from the original cast, which included names like Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Catherine O’Hara.
