Here I describe a case report of a 40-year-old Japanese woman diagnosed with MS 2 weeks after receiving the 2nd dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. I talk about other publications on this topic and my own experience. I also discuss the science of discovering rare vaccine-related side effects and attempting to differentiate between vaccine side effects and incidental medical conditions.
