A very strange and frustrating turn of events this morning when I woke up. I reached over to my laptop and checked the browser which was still open from the night before, to check my Google Plus notifications (as I have been doing every day this past month). It's become a habit already. ;) Lo and behold, I saw my posts were "not found". Then a reload of the page showed my profile was suspended. I had to use a fullstop/period as my surname, making my name appear as "Kosso ." I think this could well have been the cause. Oddly, I was able to make a post before reloading and was still able to respond to the thread which had got quite a lot of support from friends, which I appreciated very VERY much (thanks everyone!). Since changing my profile name to 'Kosso K' and submitting the form Google provides, with links to very many sites showing the 'common use' of 'Kosso' for well over decade, I appear to be able to post again. At this time though, my profile url is still showing up as 'not found'. What disappoints me most about this is the complete lack of transparency about the procedure and turn of events today. I never got an email (as they they said they would send) alerting me of an issue with my account. I know I'm not alone. Many many more are still suspended / banned for choosing to use the name they "commonly go by". Words from Google's own policies.
