Benny Greb | Grebchestra (off of Grebfruit 2) | Drum Cover. Benny Greb has long been one of my favorite drummers. He combines technicality and groove seamlessly and creates music that I actually want to listen to. I find a lot of drummers produce "elevator music" with no real substance or feel but just technical chops. Benny Greb defies this stereotype. He makes complex, progressive, and eccentric rhythms and melodies that are palatable for everyday listeners. This track is certainly no exception. Grebchestra has a djenty central groove, juxtaposed by intermittent breaks of complete calamity. I omitted the intro as there isn't enough percussive involvement to justify 1:40 of your time. Having said that, go listen to the full track - the intro definitely gives the song a boost. Audio recorded using my Presonus Studiolive 16.0.2 mixer and edited in Garageband. Video captured using 2 camera angles and edited in iMovie. Hope y'all are enjoying the foot cam. You can definitely see my white socks peeking through... I was out of my normal black socks at the time haha.
