An Indie Horde Survival Shooter All About Da Guns! – Guns and Rush Demo –

Guns and Rush is an Indie, Action Roguelike Horde Survival Top Down shooter, a sort of Post Apocalyptic, Procedural 20 Minutes Til Dawn like, plus a Zero Sievert like gritty look; awesome! Like 20 Minutes Til Dawn? While Guns and Rush might not look like a 20 Minutes Til Dawn like, many of its core mechanisms are similar. Like in 20 Minutes Til Dawn, in Guns and Rush, by default, you move slower while firing; this makes the player decision to move matter more, as you are directly trading dps for kiting survivability. This is in direct opposition to the typical no-brainer decision often presented in Vampire Survivors / Horde Survival games, where Of Course you move, as there is ZERO reason not to! In Guns and Rush, much like in 20 Minutes Til Dawn, the movement just matters more, making it both more interesting, and more meaningful; good. No Dash?! Move Your @ss! Also like in 10 Minutes Til Dawn / 20 Minutes Til Dawn, in Guns and Rush, you have no dodge! This is for a similar reason as the above, to make the movement more meaningful, and the mostly melee monsters more threatening, as you can’t just dash / phase through them every few seconds, which is what you see in many of those Other Wave Survival games… The Guns Are Good! The guns here feel good, powerful and very different from each other. The laser pistol has short range, but cooks targets in a line as it roasts through them. Along with crossbows firing piercing bolts, rapid fire machine guns, and freaking flame throwers! And Watch out with the Disc Gun! The Disc Gun fires huge ninja stars that bounce off walls, and friendly fire hurts! But watch out merc! You only have 3 hp here (at least by default), so don’t get hit! Note: This is an early look at the demo for Guns and Rush so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product. Still, Guns and Rush is a Horde Survival Action Roguelike with fun, wild guns, procedural lvls, and a great pixel graphics look, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
