Jaby and Michael follow on from Pitch Black with the second installment in the series, The Chronicles of Riddick! Fugitive outlaw Riddick finds himself caught in an intergalactic war when he becomes the unlikely savior of a planet threatened by the ruthless Necromonger army. The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) was directed by David Twohy (Pitch Black, A Perfect Getaway, The Arrival). The film stars Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious series, xXx, The Iron Giant) as Riddick, a fugitive with night vision and brutal survival instincts who becomes entangled in a war against the Necromongers. Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Mission: Impossible 2, Crash) plays Dame Vaako, a cunning and ambitious woman seeking power within the Necromonger ranks. Karl Urban (The Boys, Dredd, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) portrays Vaako, a high-ranking Necromonger warrior torn between loyalty and ambition. Colm Feore (The Umbrella Academy, Thor, Chicago) plays Lord Marshal, the tyrannical leader of the Necromongers. Alexa Davalos (The Man in the High Castle, Clash of the Titans, Defiance) stars as Kyra, a former ally of Riddick struggling with her past. The film also features Keith David (They Live, The Thing, Greenleaf) reprising his Pitch Black role as Imam, a holy man who believes Riddick has a greater destiny.
