مزار شاهزاده مصطفی پسر سلطان سلیمان The tomb of Prince Mustafa That Was Killed By Order ofHis Father

The tomb of Prince Mustafa ( Sultan Soleyman 's Boy) (Magnificent Century Film) مزار شاهزاده مصطفی پسر سلطان سلیمان و ماهی دوران در شهر بورسا Şehzade Mustafa, Kanuni Sultan Süleyman ile eşi Mahidevran Sultan'ın oğlu. Saruhan, Amasya, Konya sancak beyliklerinde bulunmuştur. Babasına karşı isyan etmekten dolayı yargılanmıştır; Nahcıvan Seferi'ne giden Osmanlı ordusunun Konya’da konakladığı sırada, padişahın otağında boğdurulmuştur. The death of male relatives of Sultan who sits on the throne, so even if its murder is politically painful, it seems that it is ordinary in terms of the history. We know the solidity of politics wery well from our own current life. The politics is such an interesting thing that the son ignores father and the brother ignores his brother in the political arena. It is surprising to learn that the Ottomans went through the same processes as the fight for the throne in their magnificent eras in one way. Modern social fights and fights for the throne may seem like different things. We can say that the fights for thrones, at least the fights between Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent and his sons did not reflect to the public, did not lead to anarchy. But we have to say that especially the assassination of The Prince Mustafa created a deep frustration and hatred. The Ottoman history is filled with stories of the Sultans that sat the throne throughout long centuries, died before getting old or overthrowned because he fought for a long time; and thus, left his throne to his young son. From Osman Gazi to Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent in average 4 Sultans had headed the empire in each century and each of the sultanate to a generation in average. The one who disrupted this was the “famous for his long life and not to give an opportunity to share the rulership. The supreme of the Ottoman Sultans, aged their princes along with him. In this respect, perhaps the memories of his father Sultan Yavuz Selim unthroning his grandfather Sufi Bayezid with the support of the Janissaries had been effective. Süleyman, who was the greatest ruler of the world in his period, was seeing each of his princes as a potential Yavuz. When the princes complete their youthfulness and turned into middle-aged governors of a sanjak, problems started anyway. These was in a position that they each have their own little provincial army, take the support of public opinion composed of İstanbul tradesfolk and Janissaries in a certain extent, in one sense they were the young “Magnificents”. In the present case, the gratness and the wealth of the empire had a role, of course. And we see the same things in the same period in Mughals (Baburs) which is also another Islamic dynasty so rich and powerful as Ottomans. In fact, two princes of Magnificent bowstringed. Even if the famous one was Mustafa; at the end of some events that Safavid Shah of Iran was taken part as well, the Prince Bayezid received back from the Shah of Iran by the Prince Selim and was bowstringed by the executioners. The reputation of Mustafa arises from the poets, histiorians are interested in too much on this event. The arrows of criticism directed to Grand Vizier Rustem Pasha and Hürrem Sultan (the top woman of Magnificent) are quite sharp in the elegies written for the Prince Mustafa; the historians also follow the path of the poets. Some poets would not hesitate in criticizing the Sultan. For instance, Sami, the poet that we quoted to begining of our article is one of them. Although Taşlıcalı Yahya, the great poets of the era and also a Janissary skillfully concealed his criticims behind wise word, Sami is extemely nonabstainer. Even though we do not know fully his true identity, it can be considered that Sami was also a member of the military, such as Yahya in a word he was among the ones that lived the heat of the event eminently. Nevertheless, it can be said that the matter needs to be more clarity. Because poets, especially the Ottoman poets are too sympathetic while writing elegies. When applied to historians which are more coldblooded, we see Hürrem Sultan in the center of the event. While turning back the visit requests of Mustafa who is from Mahidevran, the first women of him, he was taking his sons from Hürrem to fight with him. Furthermore, while the princes who would take the throne became the governor of Manisa sanjak, the appointment of Mustafa from Manisa Sanjak Principality to Amasya Sanjak Principality is interpreted as one of the developments that points to the negative attitude of Magnificent towards his elder son. The heirship fort he throne was not profitable for the princes. Mehmed who was inducted in Mustafa’s stead became ill and died. His funeral was brought to Istanbul and buried in the land of the Prince Mosque. This is the reason the Mosque which was built in here is called with the name of the Prince.
